i would like to learn about the political and social ramifications of having an open multiverse populated by so many biologically distinct sapient species. particularly when coupled with the economic implications of the commonality of powerful magic as it appears to coexist with advanced technology.

or something with boobs, either way.

Sleepy I know I'm going to regret this, but I must...

Nerdy NOTHING has been PROVEN... although the misuse of the word proven has been well demonstrated. llamallama

Confused I really don't mean to be harsh...
but Falingard has gone out of his way to make Marelle's survival of potentially fatal unfortunate events less miraculous and more ambiguous, i.e., one could come up with a reasonable and rational explanation other than immortality/invulnerability...

Which brings me to the next point...
    • immortality doesn't imply invulnerability
    • invulnerability doesn't imply immortality

Embarassed And maybe I should have been more diplomatic as well...
but Kiwis are tough old birds that can handle a few swings after setting down their steins upside down. Grrr!

Coffee! *sip* Different topic...
What are the chances of Humans and Goblins interbreeding?
Nitrine has riden Kurt like a wild stalion and put him away wet! Razz
And with Nitrine record for conscientiousness I would guess without any protection of any kind...
After all, she IS a Goblin...

Could Kurt wind up as a single parent?
You know that's how the dance would go...
That is, Squidly! unless their is not some significant emotional event for Nitrine that would turn her around...

Or just maybe Goblins are like Vulcans and have a Pon farr

...bonding to a partner by some rude instinctual... HEAT...
No love, just possessiveness driven by hormones... Rolling Eyes

YEA! YEA! *Cue Trekkie Combat Music*

uh-huh I'd by that for a dollar! Pie!

I'll second this notion; far better than my own, methinks. Wink

Also: Thank you, duLapel!! It's so refreshing to see somebody agreeing with me. Very Happy Although, regarding the following:

We don't have much evidence they've done more than way-hot goblin-on-human makeouts. Pucker up! Which is still very provocative, in a way.

Just an overnight stay with a "shagged out" Nitrine... Wink

And you are quite right MMD, it was only suggestive that it was a night to remember (well for Kurt, not so much Nitrine) Gah! WTF?! ...

But the speculation is still valid mrmfmh?

I just imagined the scene:
Kurt's only child hangs from a gangway.
Nitrine exhausted from fighting the girl still extends her hand and wheezes,
    "Lilith, I am your mother!"
    -I- am your father.

I'd like to point out that a documentary on human-goblin hybrids has already been produced

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avTfiRccYIA

Now when will we see that on Flaky Pastry?

OH!!! Embarassed I actually forgot that Kurt had stayed the night. Embarassed
So the speculation is more than valid; it's quite highly probable that Nitrine & Kurt...uh...got to know eachother better. Pucker up!

Wait, doesn't the "cheat code" Marielle read out grant 30 lives? For a grand total of 39, less any expended in backstory that we don't know about yet. Functional, if not actual, immortality.

Maybe that's why Prism stopped, not because the code was programmed to snap her out of kill mode, but because she realized she couldn't possibly kill Marielle, or kill her enough times before she wised up, and logically therefore had no reason to continue? So maybe Marielle wasn't around with the dinosaurs, like Teh Neighbour, but she WILL be in the Glorious Future™, as a newly-made immortal...

(EDIT: minor spelling corrections)
