You know, I've been wondering for a while about how this comic's characters might sound if they were voiced.

By characters, I mean any of the primary cast. Our three favorite ladies, the neighbor, their nemeses/new neighbors, and so on.

So, my fellow Flaky fans, how do you imagine they would sound?

Prism - Claudia Christian (Susan Ivanove of Babylon 5)

I don't know why but I totally imagine the neighbour with the voice of Humphrey Bogart...

Well as I said, I imagine the neighbor with Humphrey Bogart's voice, Marelle with a teacher's voice, the kind that always seems to be explaining something but with a little something of a purr in it, maybe in the way she pronounce the "r".

For Zintiel I imagine two voices. One that fits the high elf princess and one for her psychotic self... after all if she isn't schizophrenic she's very close to it.

As for Nitrine... I don't know...

Hooray, Fal responded. Very Happy

Honestly, the jury is still out on our three heroines. Like, I seriously can't decide what they sound like either. Especially Nitrine!

Well... I guess Marelle does sort of remind me of Jennifer Hale's voice, but then I'm a cartoon nerd and I've been playing Mass Effect, so ignore me. Laughing

Prism... I imagine her speaking with a very flat, clinical, deadpan tone, since she's written to be more or less emotionless. Very fitting of a machine, I think.

Hehehe, I really know what they sound like for me, but it's tough to explain it all...

Nitrine's voice is pretty normal girlish voice, really, (not the kind of high pitch I'd usually associate with a goblin) but she does talk faster than the others.
Zintiel, as said before, has a voice that changes based on her emotional state/homicidal tendencies. When she's calm I imagine her having a bit of a dignified, sensual woman's voice. When she's waving her sword... well... not nearly as dignified certainly and more yelling than seducing.
Marelle's voice is quiet, like the teacher you had back when you were six. Except when she gets pissed/upset, then her voice gets a higher pitch.
The Neighbor: with Falingard's voice, whatever it sounds like Twirling
Kurt has a fairly normal voice, nothing exceptional whatsoever. Duh.
Prism... think the Borg from star trek, but with just one voice. Monotone, slightly creepy.
Sir Manfred: low, deep voice that drops to near sub-bass levels when he turns to his dragon form.
The stapler: a deep, manly voice with an aura of authority. Intriguing and charismatic, with just a hint that he knows more than you do...

That would be Gerri Ryan, Seven of Nine.

Howabout Sean Connery as Sir Manfred?

Not really, Seven of Nine's voice wasn't so much monotone as it was reserved. I was thinking more the terminator kind of monotone.
Sean Connery might work though... I'm trying to picture an evil, man-eating Sean Connery and it's... awfully appropriate, actually.

Sean Connery is a good choice for him...

Personally, I imagined him with a voice like David Warner, but again, I'm a nerd. Razz

Zintiel - Glenn Close.

Sister Mona Theist - Cameron Diaz

I don't like them with voices. So, I imagine that they have none.

Shocked

I know, it's a bit strange, but good comedy is hard to imagine with a voice.

Cool

Nitrine - Jennifer Hale, either her Killer Frost or Gloomy!Tira voice.

Zintiel - Tara Strong. Actually, Tara Strong could play the entire cast if she wanted to.

Sir Manfred - Alan Rickman

Neighbor - Something british. Maybe Simon Pegg.

Leslie - Katherine Moennig

Daran - The Girl Who Plays Luna Lovegood

All I got for now but I'd say they're decently spot-on in my mind.
